The eyes of my soul are blind
By St. Bartholomew of Braga - Enlighten my eyes to see things as they are: the vain as vain and the true as true
Beautiful prayer from Saint Bartholomew of Braga…
Lord, the eyes of my soul are blind, because I do not see which is good and which is evil. The false goods of this world seem to me true and great, and the true goods of the other world I do not cherish or desire as I should, therefore enlighten my eyes to see things as they are: the vain as vain and the true as true, so that, despising the vain and loving the true, I may come to Eternal Light. Amen
