To run from the world means to avoid the contagion of the world
By Fr. Pasquotto, IBP - The Church never preached "take refuge in the country", but preached to sanctify yourself in your duties

At the same time, it is necessary to be realist, our religion is a about separation!
[34] Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword.
[35] For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
(Mt. 10)
He also said "man's enemies shall be they of his own household", and completed "He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not up his cross, and followeth me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for me, shall find it."
That is how you deal with the world. The spirit of Catholic Religion is the spirit of separation. The first advice to all is to runaway from the world.
But here is necessary to comprehend something very well... We were made aware that there is some among us propagating ideas that we must take refuge in the country... (silence)... I would like to ask if it is fitting that the very same people defends that "masculinity" consist in to "bear with difficulties/hardship"...
...those preaching about masculinity, wants to flee to the country... reflect on this!
The Church never preached this.
The Church never preached masculinity, but sanctity!
[The Church] never preached "take refuge in the country", but preached to sanctity yourself in your own duties! The Roman Soldier who converted remained in the army. The nobility, the patriciate of Rome [who converted] remained in their state. The businessman continued to be a businessman, in the city, fulfilling their duty! This is masculinity, this is sanctity!
To run from the world means to avoid the contagion of the world. To live in the world, but not like the world says Saint Paul...
